Terms & Conditions

Registering to play in any of the leagues Homegrown Basketball Australia Pty Ltd (Homegrown) manages, you consent with the following:

  1. To register with Homegrown or its affiliated clubs for its competitions and events. You understand that the player is bound by the rules and Code of Conduct of Homegrown (a copy of which is available on request).
  2. You understand that a player cannot be unregistered while playing in Homegrown under any circumstances. Teams discovered to be using unregistered players will get a straight forfeit loss, as well as a -3 competition point penalty, and may be barred from participating in Homegrown competitions.
  3. You acknowledge and accept that basketball is a contact sport, is dangerous and involves the risk of serious injury.  You understand that the player participates solely at his or her sole risk and responsibility.  You release, indemnify and hold harmless Homegrown, its affiliated clubs, its appointed coaches, officials, staff and/or volunteers from and against all and any actions or claims which may be made by the player, on the player’s behalf or by other parties for or in respect of or arising out of any injury, loss, damage or death caused to the player or his or her property.
  4. You acknowledge and understand that Homegrown carries only minimal players’ insurance (a copy of which is available on request). It is your responsibility to arrange adequate insurance cover. There may be no or inadequate treatment or transport available to the player if injured. You permit Homegrown to arrange for any medical attention (including ambulance transport) that may be deemed necessary for the player and agree to pay for all and any medical expenses so incurred.
  5. You acknowledge that Homegrown takes photographs/videos of various activities for marketing purposes and consent to the player’s name and/or photo being published by Homegrown from time to time.
  6. You understand that registration cannot be accepted without payment of fees and is subject to team availability. Homegrown reserves the right to accept or decline any registration at any time during the competition year.

Fees & Payments

Team Registration

Payments will be paid by either bank transfer, direct debit of credit card from each of the players.  A 50% deposit will need to be paid prior to the start of the season to be eligible to play.

The total team fee is due by round 4. 

Homegrown will issue a refund of fees only if written confirmation requesting your team’s withdrawal is submitted to info@homegrownbasketball.com.au no less than 7 working days prior to the competition start date, a $30 cancellation fee applies. Excluding the aforementioned policy, registration fees are strictly non-refundable unless a competition is not going ahead refunds will be provided back 4 weeks from original start date.

ACADEMY

Payments & Bookings

1. Payment must be made in full or deposit is made (for payment plan option) at the time of registration in order to secure a booking. Once a registration has been completed online, Homegrown Basketball Australia Pty Ltd (Homegrown) will send through an invoice to the email address listed on the registration.  Once payment has been made, a confirmation email will be sent to confirm booking.

2. You understand that minimum numbers are required to run each Homegrown basketball clinics. In the event of the numbers not being reached in advance for the clinic proceed, notification will be given to all parents/guardians at the earliest possible time and a full refund process accordingly.

3. Homegrown does not accept responsibility for any items lost or stolen. Please do not bring any valuables including money or electronic devices to these clinics.

Refunds and Cancellations:

4. If a booking is cancelled more than 10 business days prior to the activity starting, a full refund will be given.

5. If a booking is cancelled less than 10 business days prior to the start of the program, the fee is not refundable unless it is applicable to the reasons given below.

6. If a booking is cancelled for medical reasons, including injury, a credit or refund will be issued to the supplied credit card, upon receipt of an official and valid medical certificate. An an administration fee of $50 will be implemented for this change.

7. Refunds will not be given for partial attendance.

NBTC PROGRAM

As a Parent / Guardian of the child registered in the NBTC Program

  1. Give my consent for my child, to participate in the Homegrown NBTC Talent Identification camp/tournament. I understand that my child will engage in physical activities and may be exposed to potential risks associated with the sport, including but not limited to minor injuries, falls, and collisions.
  2. Acknowledge that it is my responsibility to ensure that my child is physically fit and healthy to participate in the sporting activity. I understand that the organizers and coaches will take reasonable precautions to ensure the safety and well-being of all participants, but accidents can still occur.
  3. Authorize the organizers and coaches to provide necessary first aid and emergency medical treatment to my child in the event of an injury or illness during the event. I understand that every effort will be made to contact me in case of an emergency.
  4. Agree to comply and take appropriate channels and processes in line with Homegrown and Sportscover insurance policies, to lodge personal claims arising out of or related to my child’s participation in the event.
  5. Grant permission for my child’s photograph or video to be taken during the sporting activity for promotional purposes, including but not limited to the websites, social media platforms, and printed materials.

OUR PRIVACY POLICY

All personal information collected by Homegrown Basketball, its affiliates, clubs, and associated entities is managed in accordance with the National Privacy Principles as outlined in the Commonwealth Privacy Act 1988, as amended in 2000. This information may be disclosed to authorised third parties, including but not limited to sponsors, as deemed necessary and appropriate for the purposes of our operations, promotions, and partnerships. Such disclosures will only occur in accordance with applicable laws and regulations.

If you do not provide all the requested information on the registration form, we may be unable to process your registration. Homegrown Basketball reserves the right to utilise the collected information for promotional purposes, unless you notify us otherwise.
