Even though I have just started, homegrown has helped me understand play thoroughly, assisted me in understanding basketball itself and improved my shooting to be more clean and most importantly, accurate.

Being center isn’t exactly the best position as there are many taller and stronger boys the overshine me. My height has always been a big factor as to why I play center. I want to play as a power forward or a small forward as then not only will I have the upper hand with height against my opponents but, it matches my playstyle as I love to dribble and finish in the key and around the perimeter.

I carried as team MVP all the way to the 5 on 5 finals, I scored around fifteen points and kept getting rebounds and steals. But no matter what I did, my teammates could not put the ball into the basket and if I didn’t pass to them, I would get swarmed and lose the ball. It was a lose-lose situation. Not only that but, my team forgot what basket we were on and shot in the opponents basket, officially selling the game and the victory. I learned that day that, I can’t win every game and I need to get better at my game.
